Hi, I’m Nayan Kunwar, a Backend Engineer based in Dehradun, India. I have 2+ years of experience building scalable, production-grade backend systems for real-world products.

I specialize in designing and implementing REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and payment integrations. My day-to-day work involves Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and Docker — with a focus on reliability, performance, and clean system design.

What I Do

I build backend systems that power multi-sided platforms, booking flows, and real-time applications. Recent work includes:

• Event-driven order processing with Apache Kafka and background workers
• Payment gateway integrations (Stripe Connect, Razorpay)
• Scalable APIs with PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Redis caching
• Real-time features using Socket.io

What I’m Looking For

I’m open to backend engineering opportunities — especially roles involving system design, distributed systems, microservices, and production API development, with a growing focus on AI-powered backends: RAG pipelines, vector databases, LLM API integration, and Agentic AI systems using LangChain and LangGraph (tool calling, workflow orchestration).
